The Hyundai TUCSON gives you a choice between efficient and engaging powertrains: the standard 2.5 L Smartstream gasoline engine paired with an 8‑speed automatic for reliable performance and fuel efficiency; a hybrid model that combines a 1.6 L turbo‑GDI engine with a 47.7 kW electric motor and 1.49 kWh battery (via a 6‑speed automatic) delivering a blended total of around 231 hp; and a more advanced plug‑in hybrid that boosts electric power with a 72 kW motor and 13.8 kWh battery for a combined 268 hp and added EV-only capability, all backed by HTRAC AWD and shared regenerative braking tech.
